Correct, and Level 1 was always already on the wand from the beginning.

Wand enchantments don't work so far, but are on the list to be implemented as soon as some other major bugs are killed.

AFAIK you start with wand enchantment I on your staff, which makes it unbreakable. This is already implemented (have done it myself), but you are right, the visible feedback is not there yet.

Oh and the staff counts as a magic weapon.
i.e.
it can hurt demons

And the "rope" was always bugged (i.e. not recognized in events)

In several dungeons it did not work.
Already in Thorwal in the dungeon there was a hole where you needed a rope and the wand did not work for this...

Eh, good point there.. AFAIK the climbing quest that I am writing at the moment just checks for ropes, not for magic wands... bah, back to the drawing board!

But any suggestions here? It was planned to "loose" your rope... I think that don't work well with magicians and their wands ;)

Hmmm you could add some skript about loosing magic...
But then, there should be a benefit to beeing a mage with this ability.

Alternative:
The rope of the wand will be a certain length 200m? I am not sure anymore,
so if the needed length is longer you can ignore it (more or less)
