That Mystic Sword, Two handed Swords, And especially the "ox herd" can do that damage. As can do crits. or poison. Or high Manpower.

Don`t have to, although its sort of best weapon against Orcs. I just can tell from 1992 original release, when end fight was a piece of cake, hence to poison.

Does it have to be a one on one fight?

The Champion got a serious bump in difficulty, as it was a walk in the park before, with no danger and no "final fight" flavour at all. I'll reduce the armor rating to 8, but the final fight is SUPPOSED to be hard, otherwise it would be disappointing I believe.

No, poison only applies if you did at least 1 Damage "natively" - so 13 Damage is the Minimum you'll need.

First we are planning to get everything in of the original game in and right. After that, there will certainly be some space for interesting additions to the ruleset, suggestions as to what should be implemented and how are very welcome.

Ideas we already had were about implementing not only the "old" choice of aggressive/normal/defensive, but something depending on the weapon carried, like backstabbing for a dagger, forceful blows for blunt weapons and tricks and feints for fineedged weapons.
